DU Center for Green Industries

A more traditional sustainability entity than Green Man and Enviro Boy, the Green Center's social presence is used primarily to share information about green business operations and entrepreneurship.

I also used Facebook and LinkedIn ads to promote professional certifications and conferences offered at Duquesne.

Global Solutions Pittsburgh

My main social media duty for GSP was the maintenance of the Pittsburgh Human Rights Network social presence on Facebook and Twitter. I found local, national, and international stories about human rights struggles for posting and used the Network to promote GSP events.

The Network was folded in the Spring of 2014 as the user engagement fell off (observed via analytics reports I compiled). Intended as a short term project started in 2010, PHRN lives on via GSP.

LVC's Green Man and Enviro Boy

I created GM and EB for LVC's Sustainability Task Force in the Spring of 2011 to spark student interest. As of my May '12 graduation, the super hero duo had acquired over 700 accounts following their acts of super sustainability, were featured on StudentAdvisor and were duplicated by Brits.

The campaign was supplemented by Earth Week, sweepstakes and trivia, a slew of videos, blog posts, e-blasts, etc. that I orchestrated and/or created.

Hershey Harrisburg Regional Visitors Bureau

My duties for the social media director at the HHRVB mostly involved scheduling tweets for partner events using TweetDeck, creating FourSquare tips for partners, and compiling social analytic reports.

This is when I learned the value of analytics and gamification in social media.
